Sandplay Therapy
Sandplay is a powerful psychospiritual method for accessing the unconscious in a way that brings about profound change.
Sandplay therapy was created by Dora Kalff with roots in play therapy, Jungian psychology and contemplative practices. It is non-directive method of therapy that uses the imagination and symbols to express and work through current stressors and past adverse events. It is used and effective with both children and adults as a means to help individuals tap into their unconscious and deeper healing.
In a sandplay therapy session individuals are provided with a tray of sand and other figures and items to represent images that allow them to process their deeper feelings, what they are struggling with while also emphasizing positive resources in their life. As sandplay is self directed it allows individuals greater attunement into their own process as well as providing greater healing.
